Question 1 Name 2 different ways that a volcano can impact an island ecosystem. Please remember to make these impacts about animals and their habitats, not humans and our houses. Lava can burn down trees and habitats Dust from the volcano can create a dark cloud that can last for days.

Question 2 Explain in complete sentences what happens when you put a bottle of water into the freezer for a few days. What happens to the water bottle? What happens to the water? The liquid water will turn solid when it freezes. The solid ice will expand and break the water bottle.

Question 3 If water got into the cracks of a sidewalk and then froze, what would happen to the concrete and why? Please use complete sentences. The cracks in the concrete will get bigger when the water freezes and expands.

Question 10 Antelope are deer-like animals with long straight horns. They migrate in herds across Africa in search of the grasses they feed on. Antelope are prey for cheetah. How would a drought impact an antelope population in Africa? The antelope population will decrease because there will not be much grass or water. The antelope will have to migrate to find food and water. The cheetah population will also decrease because they will have less antelope to eat.
