Market town Rural-urban fringe Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire border Located between Nottingham and Derby Population 38,000 Limited ethnic diversity- majority of the population is white and British Ex industrial settlement- primary – coaling mining, secondary, steel production and textiles. Employment services/ tertiary related- largest employer is Tesco.
