7. Fur Polar bears have warm, thick fur for swimming in the harshly cold water. The white bear has thicker fur than a brown bear has.

8. Teeth The polar bears teeth (canines) are more sharper and larger to tear through seals.

9. When the seasonal and annual ice is unpredictable, they tend to have a larger home range in order to ensure that they have enough ice within this range. The decrease in ice cover affects the seal population which is the polar bears’ main food source. Polar bears adapt to this change by learning to scavenge for seal remains.
