Typical questions: How can you secure the quality and integrity of PACA? You can’t really, at least not at large. You can within the Community of Practice: –constant exchange on advances in method –systematic documentation –ongoing training For potential customers, the PACA website indicates PACA Consultants who offer good quality. If customers want to go for cheap and bad copies, we can’t help that.
12
Typical questions: How can you secure the intellectual property rights to PACA? PACA is a registered trade-mark in the EU and South Africa. Rather than pursuing a defensive approach, we opt for an offensive approach: –continuous upgrading of the method –a service-driven Community of Practice model –advertising of experienced PACA Consultants to potential customers Core idea: Membership in the COP offers value for money -- there is no point in coming up with a cheap copy.
