Certification Know your certification due date: Proposed deadlines are emailed in October to inventory contacts as reported on the GG5 screen in DEFINE Inventory contacts have 2 weeks to request changes to due dates Once you have completed all equipment scanning, manual updates, and you have performed due diligence to find all missing assets, you are ready to certify

Certification Phases Run a current NVP report to show finalized results for your equipment listing Download the Physical Inventory Certification Form from the Inventory Services websitePhysical Inventory Certification Form Refer to the Physical Inventory Certification Schedule for your due datePhysical Inventory Certification Schedule The Certification Form must be completed and signed by: Department chair or equivalent (unit administrator listed in GG5) A current and complete NVP report must be included with the certification form

Turn in your inventory certification and NVP Equipment Listing Report to INVcertification@austin.utexas.edu before or by the designated due dateINVcertification@austin.utexas.edu The certification form certifies that: All items have been inventoried regardless of depreciated value All items are accounted for within your department and their status has been updated in DEFINE or FRMS Results are used for the following year’s risk assessment. A late submission will increase your chance of being audited by Inventory Services
