3. Inventor: David Edward Hughes 1831 - 1900 In 1831 David Edward Hughes was born in London. When David was 7 years old, he moved to America. David lived in Kentucky. David attended college at Bardstown, KY. Hughes moved back to London and died on January 2, 1900. Hughes wanted to work with engineering. David Hughes attended St. Joseph’s College. Hughes lived in London for 6 years as a child.
