* Officially named SciVerse Scopus * Launched in November 2004 * Is the largest abstract and citation database containing peer-reviewed research literature. * 18,000 titles from more than 5,000 international publishers and offers about 20% more coverage than Web of Science. * It is owned by Elsevier and is available online byElsevier subscription.subscription SciVerse Scopus offers researchers a quick, easy and comprehensive resource to support their research needs in the scientific, technical, medical and social sciences fields and, more recently, also in the arts and humanities. Scopus Assistant Professor Dr. Hilal S Wahab

18,000 titles: 16,500 peer-reviewed journals (including 1,200 Open Access journals). 600 trade publications (Industry, business and trade). 350 book series (ISBN). Articles-in-Press” from over 3,500 journal + 3.7 million conference papers from proceedings and journals. 42.5 million records: 22 million records with references back to 1996 (of which 78% include references). 20.5 million records pre-1996 which go back as far as 1823. Approximately 2 million new records are added each year (5,500/day). + 359 million scientific web pages indexed via Scirus, another Elsevier product, incorporated with WOS 24 million patent records from five patent offices

Patents tab Patent results are provided via Scirus. There are 24 million patent records in SciVerse Scopus, derived From five patent offices: 1.World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) 2. European Patent Office 3. US Patent Office 4. Japanese Patent Office 5. UK Intellectual Property Office

Records pre- and post- 1996 # All records in SciVerse Scopus published since 1996 contain cited references. # 82% of all the articles in SciVerse Scopus have an abstract (going back as far as 1823).

Author Profiles Authors want to be able to find all of their articles within a database. In most cases, SciVerse Scopus is able to capture all articles belonging to a particular author within one author profile. SciVerse Scopus is able to offer the articles likely written by the author within one most relevant profile.

Dear Dr. Hilal S. Wahab, You are invited to review the above-mentioned manuscript that has been submitted for publication in Catalysis Communications. I would be most grateful if you would accept and I could receive your report not later than by. Thank you very much in advance for your assistance. 27 Institute for Scientific Information (ISI) It was founded by Eugene Garfield in 1960. Currently known as Thomson Reuters.Eugene Garfield # Its speciality: citation, indexing and analysis.citation, indexing # publishes annual list of impact factor of the journals. impact factor * Journal impact factor is an important indicator of journal quality. # It also publishes a list of highly cited researchers, one of thehighly cited researchers factors included in the Academic Ranking of World UniversitiesAcademic Ranking of World Universities published by Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

The impact factor, IF IF, is a measure reflecting the average number of citations to published articles. Calculation For example, if a journal has an impact factor of 3 in 2010, then its papers published in 2008 and 2009 received 3 citations each on average. The 2010 impact factor of a journal would be calculated as follows: A = the number of times published articles in 2008 and 2009 were cited by indexed journals during 2010 B = the total number of published articles by that journal in 2008 and 2009. 2010 impact factor = A/B

H-index The h-index is an index that attempts to measure both the productivity and impact of the published work of a scholar. The index was suggested by Jorge E. Hirsch, a physicist at UCSD, as a tool for determining relative quality and is sometimes called the Hirsch index.Jorge E. HirschUCSD Hirsch writes:A scientist has index h if h of [his/her] papers have at least h citations each. The m-index is defined as h/n, where n is the number of years since the first published paper of the scientist.

Calculating h H-index from a plot of decreasing citations for numbered papers

The h-b-index is defined in the same manner as the h-index, but is based on a topic search instead of a scientists name.h-index A topic with a large h-b index is defined as a hot topic. h-b indices of some topics carbon nanotubescarbon nanotubes: h-b = 167 fullerenesfullerenes: h-b = 140 quantum computationquantum computation: h-b = 73 ferroelectricityferroelectricity: h-b = 78

ثانيا : تصنيف QS للجامعات العالمية الخاصة بالتخصصات The QS World University Rankings http://www.topuniversities.com *QS Asian University Rankings for the top 200 universities since 2009.
