2. Supply Fees $40 The supply fee is due now. It will be used to purchase all classroom supplies. These supplies will remain at school. If you haven’t already paid please put the money in the envelopes on the table. Your child’s teacher will send a receipt home today in their folders. Please provide your own backpack! $10 Technology and Supply Fee

4. Behavior This year we will be using a colored “clip chart” to monitor our behavior and classroom choices. Please keep in mind that your child may not move every single day! In order to move up, students must go above and beyond in their behavior choices. Please check homework folder every day to see what kind of day your child had. Please initial DAILY!

5. Additional Policies Bathrooms- We take the students to the restroom as a class at least twice a day and they are also allowed to go during the day. Birthdays-We love to celebrate with the students. Cookies, cupcakes, doughnuts are the best way for us to celebrate. Please send the items to the front office. Please let us know when you will be sending something to school in advance. Snacks- Snack time will be at 1:55 Each class will have a snack calendar to follow. Please bring enough snacks for 26 students the morning of your assigned day.

6. Review sight words daily!!! Read to your child every night this will increase their reading ability. Ask them questions about their day to encourage recall and comprehension.

8. Math The students will learn to count from 1-120 by 1’s, 2’s 5’s 10’s. We will begin basic math facts after Christmas.

9. Homework Policy A Homework sheet is sent home each Monday in their homework folder. All homework is due by the following Monday.

10. 8:45 – 9:15 Homeroom 9:15-10:25 Math 10:25-11:00 ELA 11:00-11:30 Lunch 11:30-12:00-Outdoor Activities 12:00-1:55 ELA 1:55-2:40 P.E 2:40-3:30 Social Living/Snack Time 3:30-3:45 Homeroom Daily Schedule Their day includes Language Arts, Math, Social Living, and Centers.

11. Red Folders *Every Wednesday! *Please empty the folder and return anything that needs to be filled out. *Sign the signature sheet and return to school on Thursday. *Also check daily homework folders for notes and conduct chart.

12. Uniforms STUDENT UNIFORM POLICY & DRESS CODE Students are expected to be in complete uniform every day. SHIRTS Kindergarten students wear the yellow Boudreaux shirt. Shirts must be neatly tucked in at all times. Undershirts must be solid white, navy blue, or red. PANTS/SKIRTS All students wear solid navy blue uniform pants, shorts, skirts, skorts, or jumpers. Shorts, skirts, skorts, and jumpers must be mid-thigh length or longer. Pants and shorts are to be worn at the waist. Solid navy blue, black, or brown belts with a small buckle must be worn with any pants having belt loops.

13. Uniforms OUTERWEAR Tennis shoes must be worn daily and kept laced, tied, or velcroed. Solid white crew socks must be worn with tennis shoes. No slip-on shoes of any kind are permitted. Solid navy blue or red sweatshirts or sweaters (no logos or designs except Boudreaux logo) may be worn inside the school building. No hoodies are allowed. Solid navy blue leggings may be worn under skirts on cold weather days only. OTHER No dangling earrings or hoops are allowed. No distracting jewelry is allowed. No fake fingernails or distracting nail polish are allowed. No distracting make-up is allowed. No distracting hair styles are allowed. UNIFORMS WILL BE CHECKED ON A DAILY BASIS. There will be consequences for students who break the school dress code.
