Status Report University of Bristol 3 rd GridPP Collaboration Meeting 14/15 February, 2002Marc Kelly University of Bristol 2 Status ~6 Staff involved in Grid related work. 2 full time (1 PostDoc, 1 PostGrad) Several Test Machines already in use. A mix of clean installations and upgrades to existing servers. 5 new machines awaiting delivery. To be used to form a Testbed 1 development cluster.

Will only work on fresh machines. Existing servers will still need manual installs. Several problems have been uncovered and solutions found. E.g custom rpm lists generated from official ones. Currently testing installs of CE+SE, and CE+UI on machines from these custom lists.

BaBarGRID Monitoring system. Pulls data from MDS and displays it using perl scripts on an Apache web server. http://babargrid.phy.bris.ac.uk http://babargrid.phy.bris.ac.uk Experience in adding non standard data to the Globus MDS. E.g. BaBar Monte-Carlo status.

Status Report University of Bristol 3 rd GridPP Collaboration Meeting 14/15 February, 2002Marc Kelly University of Bristol 6 Plans Install more systems and test the latest V1.0 release of EDG software. Extend and enhance monitoring software being used on BaBarGRID. Integrate grid tools into existing CMS/LHCb/BaBar production farms.
