Can we measure change against the medium term outcomes 1.Improve emotional well being in early years 2.Increase proportion of newborn children breastfed at 6 -8 weeks 3.Reduce obesity levels among children in P1 4.Reduce pregnancies in under 16 years 5. Increase no. of children with no obvious caries experience in P1 (yes, every 2 years) 6. Improved educational attainment 7. Reduce smoking rates in pregnancy 8.Increase opportunity for involving parents & children 9.Increase number of Health Impact Assessments on new developments 10.Improved outcomes for looked after children

5 Poverty and income inequality in Scotland: 07/08 A National Statistics Publication for Scotland 7 th May 2009 Levels of poverty and income inequality remained stable between 2004/05 and 2007/08. i.e. no improvement!!! Between 2006/07 and 2007/08 the proportion of individuals in poverty remained at 17%. i.e. no improvement!!! The proportion of children in poverty fell from 21% to 20%. Pensioners in poverty increased from 20% to 21%. Working Age Adults in poverty increased from 14% to 15%. Great, in Denmark, Norway, Sweden & Finland it is less than 4%!
