Our Relationship with Lawson The Aggregates and Concrete division selected Lawson as it’s standard ERP in 1998 The UK business implemented Lawson May 2000 The modules covered were: Financials (GL,AP,AR, CB) Activity Management Fixed Assets Inventory Control Procure to Pay

Issues We Encountered Some of the issues we encountered with Lawson were: Poor presentation of documents: –Statements –Invoices –Purchase Orders Not easy to give our customers access to their documents Non Lawson specific issues were: Cost of document storage Speed of storage and retrieval No Document tracking / reporting Legislative data retention issues

Vendor Choice Lafarge originally used E-Docs for scanning only, but choose to extend the relationship to a full offering because they: Tailor solutions to meet our business processes; Are competitive on price; Treat their Customers as individuals; Are respondent to our needs; Had a proven track record of meeting the SLA’s; Provide one stop shop for scanning, storage, retrieval, postage and packing, integration.

Solution Choice - DocWorks No off the shelf package met our business needs We worked jointly with E-Docs to develop a solution using DocWorks DocWorks is used for the following: Archive and Retrieval: –Customer invoices & statements; –Proof of Deliveries; –Haulier remittances, statements and invoices. Printing Presentation and Packaging Solution; –Customer invoices and statements; –Purchase orders; –WIP to include quotations, and haulier documentation. Customer Self Service Centre Future expansion to offer a full Supplier invoice capture and query management solution
