The problem Fear of increased fuel bills – cold homes Unable to reach shops – run out of essential foods and medicines Lack of company – lonely, uncared-for All factors influence health and well-being

The solution Clear snow – create access to vehicle Collect and take to community venue Deliver essential supplies/hot meals Call to check on well-being Other ideas?

Help for your group Initial £500.00 available to groups Simplified application form Fast processing Follow-up funding if needed

Helpful hints Be clear about who you can help i.e. geographic area or target group of people Be realistic –how many volunteers do you have? What can they do? Could you accept referrals? What is the contact number?

What you must do Keep receipts of items purchased, expenses paid etc. Keep simple records – Who has been helped? What help has been given? How often? Who in your organisation has been involved? Volunteers? Staff? Group members?
