Two Different Cultures Side by Side: Spain and Morocco Billed Fee: $3,870.00 To really learn about a different culture, you have to experience it first-hand. We will learn from teachers, and families, in both Spain and Morocco. IES will support the project and arrange home stay experiences which has been the high point for previous students. We’ll spend 9 days each in Granada, Spain, and Rabat, Morocco, and student will live with host families the entire time. Morocco's culture is Arab and Islamic, but includes strong French and Spanish influences. Our study of culture will include the history, food, architecture, religion, language, arts, sports, theater, family life, and more. Upon our return, we will put together a book of annotated photos, with our blog entries, to be professionally printed for everyone. Each student will research one aspect of culture in these two cultures, and give a 10-15' presentation upon returning to Wofford. Billed fee above includes airfare, transportation to/from airport, all ground transportation and entrance fees for included events, homestay lodging, most breakfasts and dinners, fees/tickets for events, museums, etc. Additional Estimated Expenses: $640 (some meals, local transportation, passport, cell phone rental)
