An average of 50 minutes will be assigned daily and possibly on weekends to help maintain and reinforce 5th grade skills. All assignments MUST be written in Assignment Book each day, which students will complete during Morning Work. (Also, found on classroom website) -Math HW every night (quiz or test) -Spelling HW due on Thursday -Spelling Test on Friday -Reading Log due at the end of the month -Friday Folder signed by Monday Homework will be checked on DUE dates. If students fail to complete the assignments, they will make it up during recess and/or for additional homework another night. Missed assignments will be documented and 3 or more a marking will be reflected on the quarterly progress report.

-Friday Folders will begin to be sent home every Friday with all graded assignments from the previous week. Students will share all tests and quizzes with parents over the weekend. -Students will write a comment and also receive a personal comment from me summarizing the student’s success and behavior for that particular week. -Parents will sign and/or comment in the “Parent Comment” section. In the past, many parents would write their own comment back in order to communicate on a weekly basis! If the student does not have the folder signed on Monday morning, it will count as a missing homework assignment.
