Introduction ► You and your partners are Public Relations wizards and were hired by a Spanish speaking country government to promote tourism. ► Your presentation should include images of interesting places in this country, pictures of the people from that country, monuments, natural wonders, events, festivities etc. ► YOU WILL HAVE TO SET ASIDE PERSONAL TIME TO WORK ON THE PROJECT.

► You and your partners must convince the rest of the class that your country is the better than the rest. At the end of every presentation, the class will vote on the best demonstration. The winning pair will earn a prize. ► If there is one thing you should keep in mind when doing your research and organizing your PowerPoint (of at least 15 slides), is to try to convince your peers that your country is the best one. Make them want to visit that country. It is a contest!

PROJECT IS DUE THURSDAY, APRIL 3RD ► Make sure you read the rubric and keep them in mind while both creating and presenting your project. ► The presentation will be graded not only in content (information), but also on how well is put together, choice of illustrations and images, organization of the information, the way it is presented to the class (acting as the United Nations), and overall impression to the audience. After all you both are P.R geniuses =).

The outline (feel free to tweak it) ► To help you get started, the following outline could be used to both conduct your research and your presentation: ► IForms of government Name of president/dictator/ruling group/political party; Flag with meanings behind it. IIBackground History Indigenous group Famous explorers Languages spoken besides Spanish

conclusion ► Make sure you include images that make your classmates want to go to the country you were assigned. The presentation should be between 4-6 minutes in length, so be sure to have enough information to fill this time slot. Remember, you are trying to PERSUADE your fellow students that your country is the best! Your presentation should be lively and colorful to grab their attention. Maps of the country, pictures of famous places or landscapes are all great ways to keep them engaged.

Extras ► Please add a bibliography slide to inform us of the resources you used for your presentation. ► Feel free to bring in any artifacts, food, etc. Your verbal presentation SHOULD NOT be what is written in the PowerPoint Presentation. ► You should hand-in the notes for your verbal presentation along with a print-out of your PowerPoint. ► When finished, you should E-MAIL your presentation to: HELEN (hzumaeta@renaissancecharter.org) hzumaeta@renaissancecharter.org

Tarea # 65 ► Make sure that you have your partners contact information (phone # & E-mail) ► Give each other responsibilities for different sections of the projects. ► Tomorrow you should each bring different information ► You will only have 3 periods to work on this project, therefore you will need to meet with your partner outside the school.
