Adenocarcinoma of the kidney Called also Hypernephrom,Renal cell carcinoma. most common renal tumor in adult. Age:5 th -6 th decade. sex: male:female 2:1. Cell of origin:Proximal convoluted tubules. Etiology: -Cigarette smoking. (well documented) -shoes worker.,leather tanners,cadmium. -Hereditary,sporadic. -Acquired cystic disease in renal failure patients.

Adenocarcinoma of the kidney Pathology: -Grossly:yellow to orange. -Histologically,RCC mixed adenocarcinoma contain clear cells,granular cells,and sarcomatoid appearing cells. Metastasis: Direct invasion into renal vein,perinephric fat, and adjacent viscera. Distant Metastasis to lung, liver,bone,LNS.
