Grains Make at least half your grains whole! How much is needed? Girls – 5oz per day Boys – 6oz per day What is an oz? Oz = ounce; an example of a one ounce serving is one slice of bread What are some examples of foods from the grain group?

Vegetables Vary your veggies! How much is needed? Girls – 2 cups Boys – 2 ½ cups What is a cup? For many veggies, a cup is just one 8oz measuring cup full. For others it is different. One example is one large ear of corn (8-9”) = one cup. What are some examples of vegetables?
