Important school procedures and helpful parent information are detailed in the E-Howl newsletter. Check Timbers website for details or sign up tonight in the cafeteria. It is best to keep informed! Hooray for the Howl!

Homework is assigned Monday - Thursday. This typically includes: -Reading for 15 minutes (record on reading log) -Math -Spelling Hit a Home Run with Homework!

Don’t Strike Out Missing homework results in missing recess. Any remaining incomplete homework will be added to the next night’s homework.

Please specify how your child goes home before you leave! A parent note is required if your child will be going home a different way than what is listed on the dismissal form. If an emergency arises, you must call the office before 2:45. No changes may be made after that time. Dismissal

Wonderful Words Their Way Students will be placed in leveled groups. Each group will have their own set of words for the week. The weekly spelling homework format will be posted in their spelling notebook.

Math as Easy as 1, 2, 3 Humble ISD supports Math Investigations. The third grade team will host a parent session this September to share our experiences and insight.

Tuesday folders go home each week, containing a conduct sheet, graded assignments and important school info. Please review, sign, and return on Wednesday. Tuesday Folders

Snack Attack Examples of some healthy snacks include but are not limited to: -goldfish, pretzels, dry cereal, cut up fruit/ vegetables, granola bars, crackers, etc. -A water bottle is fine; no other beverages.

Our school and the third grade team has developed a system of rewards to encourage positive behaviors: Classroom Rewards Hallway tickets that reinforce school expectations Individual student rewards through signature cards ~Students can shop at the signature store!~ No Tardy Parties Cafeteria Rewards for “Staying on Green”!
