ALARM SE AGM 21st March 2007 Strategic Objectives 1. To identify and address the needs of members; 2. To promote professionalism and best practice in risk management; 3. To promote risk management in public services; 4. To ensure a sustainable and viable organisation.

ALARM SE AGM 21st March 2007 Objective 1: To identify and address the needs of members We need to: Better understand the membership profile and needs; Give better feedback to groups on their membership profiles; Represent members’ interests with Govt; Negotiate external benefits for members.

ALARM SE AGM 21st March 2007 Objective 2: To promote professionalism and best practice in risk management We need to: Sponsor and publish research and guidance; Produce high quality journal and website; Promote CPD through RRP (registered risk practitioner); Deliver conferences / seminars; Provide info on and access to training tools; Promote ‘excellence’ through Awards

ALARM SE AGM 21st March 2007 Objective 3: To promote risk management in public services We need to: Promote ALARM to promote our Members Review and update marketing materials; publish journal articles; make conference presentations; Disseminate research findings; Collaborate with Govt depts and other agencies; Work in partnership with commercial partners and sponsors

ALARM SE AGM 21st March 2007 Objective 4: To ensure a sustainable and viable organisation We need to: Review the corporate image of ALARM; Review the categories of membership and identify target areas for growth; Improve internal and external communications; Review our sponsorship arrangements, and attract new sponsors Ensure our governance is ‘fit for purpose’
