Three-dimensional graphics has applications in Business and advertising – online product views The arts – animation, virtual sculpture Engineering – design and testing Scientific and medical visualisation Film and television – most fantasy movies use computer generated images (CGI) extensively Computer games

Practical Virtual Reality N.A.Shulver@staffs.ac.uk Example movie The following movie was generated using two applications Graphics were rendered with the “POV-Ray” package – high quality freeware, available to all The images were made into an animation using “Windows Movie Maker” available on all our Windows computers
