7. Eye Contact In Deaf culture not maintaining eye contact is considered rude. If you don’t maintain eye contact it can mean several things to deaf people: you are not paying attention you are day-dreaming you don’t want to participate in the conversation You are not interested in conversation *Remember your eyes are your ears.
