UNCLASSIFIED Optimized Insulated Food Container (IFC) Description of IFC IFC designed to transport UGR-A and UGR-H&S rations to remote locations from field kitchens, while maintaining food product within safe temperatures for at least 4 hours under -25F ambient Current design replaced RFC fielded with KCLFF Optimized IFC designed to met/exceed existing performance requirements, and reduce weight and volume for field feeding operations

UNCLASSIFIED Optimized Insulated Food Container (IFC) Improved capabilities of Optimized IFC Reduce the weight of the current IFC by 20%, and the volume by 14% Nesting capability will reduce IFC storage volume by 25% Smaller and lighter IFC’s will allow more containers to be carried onboard current field kitchens and the proposed Assault Kitchen

UNCLASSIFIED Optimized Insulated Food Container (IFC) Status of Optimized IFC Prototypes were tested with an independent test agency for thermal performance, vibration exposure and vibration impact, and they were evaluated with the 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum Received concurrence from the Army’s Center for Excellence and Subsistence for fielding new design, and revised the CID to include the Optimized design Cambro Manufacturing completed the mold construction for the Optimized IFC and now has the item available for procurement

UNCLASSIFIED Optimal Low Cost Insulated Beverage Dispenser (IBD) Description of IBD Current IBD are fabricated using rotational molding, which produce parts that are poor in tolerance and surface finish CORANET Program funded a 28-month effort for TAMU and Cambro to design and produce the IBD using improved mold technology (multinozzle structural web or Roto-mold) These technologies will provide a low cost alternative that will reduce unit cost and delivery time to produce CORANET effort will upgrade the design to meet desired mechanical and thermal characteristics specified in the CID

Phase I is 14 months and Phase II is 14 months Currently completed the final design of the Alpha Prototype Recommend manufacturing prototype using Roto- Mold process If this Mold process successful, initial prototype can be used as the Beta prototype This will reduce required steps in Phase II of the CORANET project

UNCLASSIFIED Long Range Patrol Water Container (LRPWC) Status of LRPWC Project funded under Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) Program, to develop a new product design to meet evolving requirements Completed a Phase I CPI Program effort to develop an Alpha prototype. Submitted a Phase II CPI proposal to include Marine Corps comments and compare to potential COTS items Preparing a proposal to transition to the ManTech program to develop a cost effective production design
