Future Vision – Customer Experience Interoperability is an evolutionary process. Start out small, with custom interfaces. Build and implement software applications with – Open interfaces with limited or no proprietary constraints. – Consistent with current understanding of UCA, IEC 61850, etc. Longer-term evolution of field test and production implementations as standards are completed and accepted. – IEC 61850 – Substations and Renewables Management – National Standards - NIST, GridWise, et.al.
