55 PVAAS Roster Verification Substitutes Remind LEAs about language in FAQ on Long Term Substitutes Overclaiming and Underclaiming Over-claimed students are students claimed for more than 100% across teachers/schools/LEAs. All over claiming of students WITHIN a district/LEA must be resolved. LEAs are not expected to resolve issues of over claiming of students ACROSS LEAs, UNLESS the LEAs are sharing a student(s) simultaneously (such as an IU and district) Under-claimed students are claimed for less than 100% across teachers/school/LEAS. ◦Because underclaimed students are flagged in the system, some LEAs are concerned they must resolve all instances of underclaiming… ◦However, underclaiming can be appropriate and accurate.
