Job Description Put electronic parts together. Follow product drawings and diagrams. Measure parts and dimensions to match specifications. Might put together full products or just have one step in the job.

Working Conditions Work in electronic manufacturing plants. Work with delicate equipment. Work in special rooms for tools, with right temperature, humidity and dust. Need to wear masks, gloves and other protective clothing. Work with small power tools. Work 5 days on a 40 hour week.

Earnings Some are paid by the number of items assembled. This means that they can get paid more than hourly wages. Paid $9-$18 per hour. Workers on the night shift can earn up to 10% more. Full time workers can get health and dental benefits.

Education Helpful if you completed high school. No real requirements.
