3.  These are very common here.  They have strong winds, heavy rain, lightning, and thunder.  How to tell if a storm is far away:  If you hear the thunder at the same time as you see the lightning, the storm is right above you.  If you see the lightning and then hear the thunder, the storm is farther away from you.

Form from thunderstorms.  There are really strong winds and a lot of rain, sometimes thunderstorms.  There are a lot of floods with hurricanes.  In the middle of the storm is what’s called an eye. This is a pause in the storm, but the other half still has to pass through.

9.  Really heavy snow storms  Have heavy winds  Lasts at least 3 hours  Difficult to see in these types of storms

10.  Safety Tips:  Drink a lot of water and eat plenty of food  Stay inside  Use plenty of blankets to stay warm  Keep your body moving to stay warm
