We want you to enjoy your Central Middle School experience, to study hard and to focus on completing your classes. Counseling Office Hours 7:40 AM – 3:15 PM

7 Progress Reports and Report Cards: Issued every 4 1/2 weeks F’s on 9 week report card will result in not being allowed to play on athletic teams Honor Roll: 9.0 or B+ average Gold Honor Roll: All A’s

9 Important Dates: February 9 (Monday) 6:30 p.m. Open House at Central with special presentation on CSA and AC May (dates TBA) – Orientation/Visit Central  Tour and Talk to current students Schedule Pick up: Wed., July 29 th 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. First Day of classes: August 3 (Monday)

10 Agenda/ Handbook Student Agendas will be passed out within the first 2 weeks of school. The Student Agenda will provide useful information regarding:  Homework Policies (Subject specific)  Progress Reports/ Report Cards (4 ½ weeks/ 9 weeks)  Eligibility Policy (No F’s to participate in extra curricular activities.)  Medication/ Medical Policy  Dress code  Rules

12 DRESS CODE SHIRTS MAY NOT EXPOSE CLEAVAGE OR MIDRIFFS AND MUST HAVE A SLEEVE – NO TANK TOPS HATS ARE NOT ALLOWED INDOORS SH0RTS OR SKIRTS MUST COME CLOSE TO THE KNEE

13 Dress Code Continued… UNDERGARMENTS SHOULD NOT BE EXPOSED ATTIRE MUST BE DEEMED APPROPRIATE FOR SCHOOL BY SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS

14 ELECTRONIC DEVICES ELECTRONIC DEVICES SUCH AS IPODS, CAMERAS,OR MP3 PLAYERS ARE PROHIBITED IN THE CLASSROOM THE SCHOOL IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST OR STOLEN ITEMS OF THIS NATURE. ANY ITEM CONFISCATED WILL BE HELD AND RETURNED TO THE STUDENT AT THE END OF THE DAY THE FIRST TIME IT IS TAKEN. SUBSEQUENT INFRACTIONS - A PARENT MUST PICK UP AT THE OFFICE.

15 LOCKER USAGE  NO STUDENT IS PERMITTED TO SHARE A LOCKER.  THE SCHOOL IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ITEMS STOLEN FROM LOCKERS.  DO NOT SHARE YOUR COMBINATION WITH ANYONE !!!!  BACKPACKS MUST REMAIN IN YOUR LOCKER

16 Bullying is not tolerated at CMS! Bullying can be physical, verbal or social. It includes 3 things:  Imbalance of power  Intent to harm  It happens over and over again Bullying is a major offense which will result in disciplinary action including:  Suspension  Expulsion
