6 Uptown Campus: – All Paper (including newspaper, magazine, cereal boxes…) – Plastic Bottles/Containers (#1 & #2) – Aluminum/Tin Cans – Cardboard (free of food wastes) Glass is unable to be recycled in New Orleans at this time. Residence halls have a labeled recycling station outside the building or a recycling/garbage room on every floor. Mardi Gras Bead Recycling – Watch for bins placed in your Residence Halls after Carnival! Move-out Recycling – Tulane Trash to Treasure - At the end of the year will collect household items & clothes to be donated or re-sold to students at the beginning of next school year. – Books, non-perishable food and Mardi Gras beads collected too! recycle.tulane.edu

8 RecycleMania is a friendly competition every spring among college and university recycling programs to see who can waste less and recycle more. The Recyclemania Res Hall Challenge is Tulane’s residence hall sustainability competition. recycle.tulane.edu

9 This year’s competition will test the residence halls in three different green categories: 1. Most recycling per person 2. Least garbage per person 3. Greatest electricity savings recycle.tulane.edu

10 The winning residence hall will be rewarded with a SUSTAINABLE SWEET TREAT The winning dorm will enjoy this outdoor Spring-time festivity! The gathering will strive to be zero waste from planning to implementation. recycle.tulane.edu
