In a typical English family are 2 parents, 1 or 3 children. Nowdays divorce is common in England. Children sometimes live in a step family.

Most people live in a house with a small garden. Most people own the house. Most people live in flats too.

Young people live with parents. They go to university. They live in shared house, or student’s accommodation.

People get married and have children later nowdays. The average age for having a child is now 30. Young people or single mothers often get a counsil house.

People in Britain move house a lot. Grandparents don’t normally live in the same house as their children and grandchildren. They have their own house.
