2  In a typical English family are 2 parents, 1 or 3 children.  Nowdays divorce is common in England.  Children sometimes live in a step family.

3  Most people live in a house with a small garden.  Most people own the house.  Most people live in flats too.

4  Young people live with parents.  They go to university.  They live in shared house, or student’s accommodation.

5  People get married and have children later nowdays.  The average age for having a child is now 30.  Young people or single mothers often get a counsil house.

6 People in Britain move house a lot. Grandparents don’t normally live in the same house as their children and grandchildren. They have their own house.

8  Semi detached house -  is a house with two units sharing a common wall  Detached house -  is a house that stands alone

9  Cottage  In England the word cottage is often used to mean a small holiday home.  Share house  A share house is a model of household in which a group of usually unrelated people reside together.

10  Apartment  An apartment is a self-contained housing unit (a type of residential real estate) that occupies only part of a building.  Bed and breakfast BB is a type of accommodation for travellers. Hotel
