4. How To Measure Inside Mount
Instructions for measuring a window for an Inside Mount.
To find the width, measure the exact distance between the inside surfaces of the window frame at the top, middle and bottom, and use the narrowest width. Do not make any width deductions. Our factory will make the necessary deductions.
To find the height, measure the exact distance from the inside surface at the top of the window to the sill.

5. How To Measure Outside Mount
Instructions for measuring a window for an Outside Mount.
To find the width, measure the outside width of the window frame. Add at least 3 inches for overlap (1 ½” per side).
To find the height, measure from the sill to the position of the top of the shade. If there is no sill, measure to where the blind is to reach.

42. Defective Returns Program
This program has been designed to drastically reduce the amount of miscut CSN Blinds and Shades that are being returned to Lowe’s. It is very important that you gain the support of the Lowe’s Store Management as you implement this program within your territory. Please remember to reinforce to the Lowe’s Associates that this program was designed to lessen the returns counted against the Home Décor Department. This program will only work if the Store Associates use it correctly!

43. Lowe’s Policies LEVOLOR PRE-CUT BLIND LABEL
Lowe’s has updated several procedures to the RTM and Markdown policies. It is important that you communicate these policies to your stores. These policies are as follows:
RTM / Markdown Policy- When a Lowe’s Associate cuts a Custom Size Now blind or shade to an incorrect size, they should NOT automatically charge this to the defective allowance. The correct procedure is to mark the packaging with a “Pre-cut Blind Label” and mark the width that it has been cut to and the retail price should be reduced. ONLY defective product should be charged to the defective allowance.

44. 3 Elements of Program RETURN’S DESK CARD
1. Returns Desk Card- When a customer returns a Custom Size Now blind or shade to the store, the Customer Service Associate should ask “ Is the blind/shade defective OR is it cut to the wrong measurement?” If it is cut to the wrong measurement, the correct procedure is to send the customer/product to the Home Décor department. If the blind is defective, the correct procedure is to send the product to the RTM clerk.

45. 3 Elements of Program 2. Defective Returns Form – This form is a tool
designed to promote customer accountability and
deter customer returns as a result of a miscut; Lowe’s has
not changed their corporate policy on reimbursing the
customer for returned merchandise. This
filled out form is then filed in the black Eldon file box
alphabetically by customer’s last name. Additional forms can
be found on the Intranet under Lowe’s.
3. New Companion Card – Instructions on the
front for cutting a roller shade. FAQ’s on the back.
The Companion Card is attached by a chain to the
Roller Shade Machine.
