Revision Lecture and Explanation of Exam format

The exam format is explained below. In terms of content, the exam covers the entire course syllabus. I hope the sample questions are helpful in guiding your preparation. As mentioned, the course material would be sufficient. Exam Format for CIS 336 (only) You will be required to answer 3 questions out of 5 choices. 3rd year students will have one mandatory, plus 2 other questions. The exam would attempt to test both theoretical and practical elements of the course. Please answer questions concisely. When required to list, do not explain, just list.

Exam Format for CIS 219 and 221 The exam will be made up of 2 halves. Questions from the material covered in term 1 (i.e. Java) would form one half, while the second half would comprise of questions from material covered in Term 2 (i.e HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, PHP and Web servers) You will be expected to answer 2 out of 3 questions in each half of the examination. In other words, you will be expected to answer 2 out of 3 questions on material covered in Term 1, and 2 out of 3 questions based on the material I taught in term 2. I hope this clarifies the situation, but please do not hesitate to contact me if youre still unclear.

Briefly explain the function, and show the notation of the following components of an XML document:

i.Tags ii.Processing instructions iii.Document type declarations State the differences between a well formed, and a valid XML document. Write the document type declaration of an XML document used to store addressbook information, and is validated by an external DTD called Addressbook.dtd
