Slide 4 Organization and Implementation of a National Regulatory Program for the Control of Radiation Sources Module 3-1 provide annual funding for the operation of the Authority based on the volume of the established regulatory program (number of licences, inspections, etc.); ensure that the provision of funding is addressed in legislation; The budget is the main source of funding. Means of Funding Government should:- provide a special budget to establish the operation of the new Regulatory Authority (offices, etc.);

Government should ensure that:-

Slide 11 Organization and Implementation of a National Regulatory Program for the Control of Radiation Sources Module 3-1 The Regulatory Authority should:- be of a size commensurate with the extent and nature of facilities and activities to be regulated; Justification of Resource Requirements have adequate resources (personnel, finances, accommodation, equipment, vehicles, etc) to discharge its responsibilities and to maintain its independence.

Justification of Resource Requirements (cont)

Financial Planning Planning prepare action plans, programs and projects that align with the strategic objectives
