Goals for This Meeting 2 K-DEMO Project Meeting / 26 June 2013 / H. Neilson 1.Updates of operating space, device modeling, structural analyses, blankets and divertor designs. 2.Plans for wrapping up Phase I, and planning for Phase II.

Phase I Milestones & Deliverables 3 K-DEMO Project Meeting / 26 June 2013 / H. Neilson Plan (from Nov. 2012 Project Meeting at PPPL): Jan 1, 2013 Start date. Jan. 23, 2013. MT-23 Abstract deadline. Feb. 1, 2013. SOFE-2013 Abstract deadline. Feb. 20-22. Presentation of prelim. TF winding including joint and leads. Feb. 28, 2013 Milestone: Update Design Point and “freeze” for remainder of 2013. (Further updates in the following year are anticipated.) Feb. 28, 2013 Deliverable: A picture of the device including TF, PF, Coil Structure, supported by preliminary analysis. Initial TF structural analysis- This meeting June 10-14, 2013. Several presentations at SOFE-2013, San Francisco July 14-19, 2013 Presentation at MT-23 Conference, Boston July, 2013. Report of progress in Phase I contract performance period. Aug. 2013. Start of Phase II contract performance period Feb 28, 2014. Report of progress in Phase II contract performance period.

Plans 9 K-DEMO Project Meeting / 26 June 2013 / H. Neilson Complete administrative reviews of Phase II Research Agreement, and sign. Issue final Phase I report to NFRI within by 31 Aug. Content as discussed at 26 June meeting. Including CD, and substantial report, 3 paper copies. (H. Neilson) Next Meeting: teleconference, August 27-28. –Establish milestones for Phase II.
