5. Background and History Founded in 1923 – Check the scarf! One of the oldest in the Bay Area – Some of the oldest members! – Many Eagles Scouts - some are now adult leaders Chartered by the First Presbyterian Church of Livermore Active Community Involvement Focus on Advancement & Leadership Still Growing and Going Strong!

Key Values Leadership – Boys lead from start to end – “From Boys to Men” Training – Learning by doing and experience Activities – We emphasize outdoor adventure Advancement and Promotion – Recognizing each Scout’s achievements – Building self confidence through by doing Diversity – Everybody brings their own strengths Community / Service – Giving back to the community

7. Gateway To Adventure We’re an Outdoor Troop – Camping – Hiking – Backpacking – Biking – Canoeing Imagine… – Skiing with a backpack, – Making an igloo, – And then sleeping in it! All ages and abilities – Start easy and build up to multi-day outings – We encourage the parents come along so they can learn how too!
