How? You know the geographical position of these countries – but now you will know it in English. It will help you to speak English well. The aim of the lesson is – to learn some new words, article with geographical names, to listen / read texts about the UK, the USA, Australia.

The aim of the lesson: to practise using words related to landscapes; to practise listening / reading for the main idea; to practise reading for details; to practise listening / reading for specific information; to describe landscapes.

Repeat after me, please: Repeat after me, please: [d] — land, island, landscape; [t] — coast, mountain; [r]— forest, river; [w] — world, wash, washed by; Hill, useless, sunny, large, heavy, high.

Answer my questions, please: What country is this? Is it big or small? Is this an island or a continent? What are the main rivers? What mountains of this country do you know? What oceans is this country washed by?
