2 What is the feast of Easter? Easter in Czech Republic Easter is a religious holiday. It celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Easter also marks the end of Lent, a season of fasting and prayer.

3 Easter in April Easter is a moveable feast, meaning it is not fixed in relation to the civil calendar. It occurs during the spring, in and around the month of April. Easter is always celebrated on the first Monday following the first full moon that appears on or after the spring equinox. The first week of the Easter Season is known as Easter Week or the Octave of Easter. The week from Palm Sunday to Easter is known as Holy Week.

4 Celebrate We celebrate Easter on Sunday and Monday after the first spring full moon. On Monday morning, boys go around with a rod woven out of willow branches to spank girls. When a boy comes to beat a girl after 12 p.m., the girl pours cold water over him and she doesn't give any eggs to him.
