DAY 5 Durango Were venturing to Durango because it bustles with activity. The word Durango originates from the Basque word “Urango” meaning water town. Durango river-all rivers in Colorado starts at a mountain parks DURANGO”S HISTORY http://www.google.com/ Rent a bike for a day and discover why this area is so popular with mountain bikers. Durango-Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad is the country's only coal and steam powered train operating daily. The park continues to focus on their way of life and how they lived back when people built Mesa Verde. We’re in the montane forest life zone now.

DAY 4 South Fork South Fork is the home of the old Frenchman’s treasure tale. 3 miles out of South Fork was the setting for “Camp Comfort in the 1983 movie National Lampoons vacation We hope that someone video taped this for us. South Fork Also amazing fishing and golfing and a big country club. http://www.google.com/ I think rob and I are probably to come back and buy a house because we love golfing, fishing, and country clubs. South Fork Western Slope steep hill side. We’re are in the montane forest life zone. This is the Del Norte river.

DAY 7 Grand Junction Grand Junction county Grand Junction possess abundant places to drive a dune buggy or an ATV, Like Book Cliffs Wild Horse Ranch. Tourist attraction We might venture on our dune buggy at Little Book Cliffs Wild Horse Range. Grand Junction’s possess numerous fun things to do, hiking, biking, and horse back riding. HISTORY Mountains – physical features which rises above sea level The southeast of Grand Junction displays a mesa, the worlds largest flat topped mountain. The canyons of the Colorado National Monument form a western wall. In between the three natural barriers sprawls Western Colorado's Grand Valley. Now we’re in the grassland life zone!

DAY 8 Snowmass Village The town began as a remote mining camp in 1879 and became one of the richest silver producing areas in the world until the silver market crashed in 1893. HISTORY Snowmass Village Rocky Mountain- physical feature which rises above sea level. I bet it will be cool sliding down a mountain skiing, and where we’re having our air soft gun war here too. We’re in the alpine tundra the highest life zone!

America's largest ski mountains. Steamboat Springs is west of the Continental Divide- splits country in half but is an invisible line. And splits the rivers. In Steamboat Springs everybody here relishes the skiing, snowboarding, biking, see cool places, and hiking. DAY 10 Estes Park Estes Park is a popular summer resort and Rocky Mountain Nation Park HQ. Estes Park Fourteener Joel Estes first visited the Estes valley on a hunting trip in October of 1859. He and his wife Patsy moved the family into two log cabins near what is now Estes Park. The public soon learned about the beauty of the high mountain valley surrounded by peaks. Day 11 Fort Collins Fort Collins the home of the CSU rams. Hist Fort Collins county-lines that divide states into towns of about 2,000 to 3,000 people.
