x 3 x x x = exponent base BASE -- The number or variable that is multiplied by itself the number of times = to exponent. POWER / EXPONENT -- The superscript of the base that represents the number of times the base is multiplied by itself. FACTOR -- One of the numbers / variables / expressions that are multiplied together. EXPONENTIAL FORM – Written in the form of a base and power EXPONENTIAL FUNCTION – A function whose exponent involves at least one variable.
