Chris Rezek, Executive Director The Cooperative is 15 months old There are 31 members and all FSILGs are invited The Cooperative is owned and controlled by the member houses and we will use our buying power to get better service and prices from vendors Spend time to understand the opportunity Spend time to understand your specific needs Determine if there is a match

Basics Merchants participate because of our volume and prompt payments House participate because of our improved prices and service Member owned and operated Two full-time staff work for you MIT supports, does not control

Financial Model Secured credit card model –estimate your monthly spending –put down a deposit –bills are charged against your account each week –you pay the balance each month Special projects –notify Cooperative before project begins –arrange a special payment schedule

Discounts Cooperative percentage discount –Received as end-of-year dividend –Deducted at time of purchase –Covers operating expenses of Cooperative –For all vendors Lower initial prices –Immediate –Not deducted at time of purchase –Not for all vendors
