This curriculum guide develops ICT skills in web design and production using Macromedia web tools, Digital Design can be used in career and technical education courses as well as general web design classes. NPA Digital Literacy (SCQF level 3) RATIONALE This new National Progression Award (NPA) in Digital Literacy at SCQF level 3 has been designed to introduce candidates to a range of different digital tools, productivity software and digital communication methods. The units combine the softer skills of Communication, Problem solving and Numeracy (and Information Technology) within the context and use of digital technology.

NPA Digital Literacy (SCQF level 3) Provide an entry level award that allows candidates to develop skills using digital tools, software and different digital communication methods. Progress into further study such as PC Passport at Beginner level and the National Certificate in Digital Media Computing to further develop knowledge of digital tools and software. Provide the candidate with opportunities to develop Core skills in the context of digital technology.

NPA Digital Literacy (SCQF level 3) SQA SUPPORT MATERIALS The SQA has provided Individual Student Learning packs for each unit within the NPA and an Instructor guide showing how the student learning pack activities link with the Microsoft Digital Literacy courseware at http://www.microsoft.com/digitalliteracy http://www.microsoft.com/digitalliteracy Assessment Support Packs for each unit are also available.
