16 Tour Guiding: An Introduction Looking at types of tour guides Producing an itinerary for short guided tour (1 day coach tour in Scotland) Conducting short guided tour (5 minutes)

17 Resort Representation: An Introduction Roles and types of resort reps How airport duties and transfers should be conducted Present a welcome meeting (5 minutes)

18 Working as Air Cabin Crew At SCQF level 5 –Knowledge areas about aviation industry, terminology etc –Communication with passengers – service announcements –Service of meals At SCQF level 6 –Safety and service procedures –Duty free and tax paid goods service –Trolley merchandising

19 Airport Ground Operations At SCQF level 5 –Airline/airport terminology –Personal presentation –Dealing with passenger needs At SCQF level 6 –Airport check-in procedures –Meeting and boarding flights –Procedures for lost and mishandled baggage

20 Employability Skills New mandatory unit Further applied in study visit unit at level 6 Reinforced through other practical units e.g. cabin crew/airport ground ops/guiding New Personal Development course (no course assessment)
