2.  The Civil Rights Movement was a non-violent protest for civil rights.  Everything in the south was segregated and I mean everything from restaurants to schools. White people thought they were better than the colored people because of when they were slaves for them; whites didn’t want colored people to be the same as them even though they are.

3.  Rosa Parks:  Rosa Parks was a big part of the Civil Rights Movement because she refused to give up her seat to a white man and that inspired Martin Luther King Jr. to start the “Bus Boycott.”  (The “Bus Boycott” was a non-violent protest where people didn’t take the bus and just walked everywhere so the bus companies wouldn’t get the money and get rid of the rule where African Americans had get up for a white person.)

4.  Martin Luther King Jr.  Martin Luther King Jr. took a tremendous role in the Civil Rights Movement because he started and leaded the non-violent protests for civil rights. He never gave up and changed America.

5.  The Civil Rights Movement was started in Georgia but soon branched out through south and thousands of people started being a part of these non-violent protests.

7.  Why did many African Americans risk getting arrested?  They probably risked getting arrested because they really believed in Civil Rights and wanted them so badly.  Why do you think they never gave up?  Let’s say you were an African American in the 1950s and you were being treated how they were, you would want to stand up and say you were equally as great as the whites, and that was their way of standing up to them.

8.  After Rosa Parks Arrest a lot of people wanted to stand up to the whites and say they were the same as them, and those voices caused the Civil Rights Movement.  …….During the Civil Rights Movement!  After the Civil Rights Movement was on for a while whites started to join the African Americans side in their fight for Civil Rights.
