Approval Scottish Baccalaureate is not auto-approved A simple two page form – IP1 (Approval and Quality Assurance) Confirmation of approval from SQA

Local Quality Process Internally assessed SQA qualifications must be supported by a local quality process to confirm the effectiveness of assessment decisions Will include: Standardisation Assessment Appropriate internal quality assurance model

Internal Quality Assurance Models Team of staff within a centre involved in candidate support, assessment and quality assurance of Baccalaureate Network of centres within local authority Neighbouring centres Partnerships (school/college, school/university) Interdisciplinary working, Science and Languages, Science and Social Science, Languages and Expressive Arts etc Centres working via video conferencing One Assessor supported by colleagues N.B. In all cases feedback from external links should support the assessment process

National Quality Process Submission of candidate evidence Central event (External Verifiers) Quality Forums: Small groups of centre representatives chaired by External Verifier Peer review, discussion, agreement and sharing of good practice Report writing event (External Verifiers)
