3 Amount of damage caused to the embryo depends on  How much was absorbed  Amount of times it was done  The stage in which the embryonic or fetal development was when it was exposed

4 Radiation on oral cavity  Radiographic examination should be avoided to a female who is pregnant, unless if its an emergency situation  Radiographic examination on oral cavity has a few millirads that is administered to a female who is pregnant  It is not known to be Teratogenic to an embryo

5 Malformations in the oral cavity  Cleft in the face or palatal area  Small deficiencies of the soft palate  Developing cysts underneath the oral mucosa  Occurs in 3 out of 100 births

6 Duties of a Dental professional  Must be aware that any malformation of the orofacial area that is found during an examination is traceable to a time during the embryological development of the patient  Educate females of reproductive age to avoid Teratogens so that it wont affect their future pregnancies  Help improve and preserve the patient oral health
