General Requirements People transferring from out of state are required to have 30 Cu's to be eligible for the state exam All applicants have to pass the National Board of Occupational Therapy exam (NBOT), in order to sit for individual licensing in different states 40 states require licensing of OTA’s The Oregon state board licenses every two years. The next renewal for licensing will be due May 1, 2012

OTA Requirements 1.State Level Continuing Education Credits (CE’s) 30 CE's every two years following After initial graduation, only 15 CE's are required during the first two years after passing licensing CE credits in pain management are due within two years or the next licensing period, whichever is longest

Qualifications for Licensing 1.You must… Be at least 18 years of age Have successfully completed a program for occupational therapy assistants recognized by the Occupational Therapy Licensing Board.
