1. OUR SCHOOL

2. Our school is 45 years old. There are more than 550 students and 30 teachers in our school. We have both girls and boys from 6 to 17 years. The best school leavers receive gold and silver medals for their success in studies. This summer there was a great reconstruction of the school yard. Now we have a good sports ground and a play ground.

3. The school has three floors. On the ground floor you can see a library, a gym, 2 workshops and IT classrooms. There are also classrooms for junior pupils. On the first floor there are many classrooms. Besides you’ll find the teachers’ room, a school canteen and an assembly hall here.

4. The corridors are beautifully decorated.

5. On the second floor we also have many classrooms. Among them Biology, Physics and Chemistry laboratories and our English classroom. They are well equipped, have computers and notebooks, interactive boards and so on.

6. We go to school 5 days a week. We learn differrnt subjects: Russian language and Literature, English, Maths, History, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, IT, PE. After classes students attend sports and other clubs. Many of them learn to draw, dance or play any musical instrument.

7. Our school is a territory of health. We work in contact with Medical Academy of Voronezh and have won a lot of prizes already. We go to the swimming pool and to the Ice Palace together. All students take part in traditional Days of sport where they have different competitions and games. Students of the 1st – 9 th forms receive free milk three times a week.

8. All students learn English at school. We like it very much and want to know it better. Our teacher Vera Grigoryevna Razuvaeva is always ready to help us.

9. The school year starts on the 1 st of September. This is a holiday – the Day of Knowledge. There are 4 terms in the year. We have a week’s holidays at the beginning of November and at the end of March. In January the holidays last two weeks. At the end of the school year students have exams in different subjects. The best mark is 5. The worst one is 2. Then come the summer holidays. They are the longest – 3 months. Students travel, rest and have a nice time in camps.

11. We are happy to take part in the project “Global lifestyle” because we want to know how teenagers of different countries live. We hope to learn a lot of new things. We hope to find new friends. We wish you interesting lessons and activities. Good luck!
