7 STP for Physical Sciences and Biomedical Engineering What is the NHS STP? Postgraduate training for the NHS Scientist Training Programme (STP) leads to a specifically commissioned and accredited master’s degree and certification of workplace- based training following one of these pathways: Medical Physics radiotherapy physics, imaging with ionising radiation, imaging with non-ionising radiation, radiation safety Clinical Engineering rehabilitation engineering, device risk management and governance, clinical measurement and ICT

8 PTP for Physical Sciences and Biomedical Engineering What is the NHS PTP? Undergraduate training for the NHS PTP leads to an approved and accredited BSc honours degree in healthcare science in one of these themes: Medical Physics Technology radiotherapy physics, radiation physics, nuclear medicine Clinical Engineering medical engineering, radiation engineering, renal technology, rehabilitation engineering
