T HINGS TO KNOW … 1 Credit Earning a passing grade in one semester of a course Semester 1 st nine-week grading period = 40% 2 nd nine-week grading period = 40% Semester Exam = 20% Elective Courses Courses that are not required for graduation, but students can chose to take based on interest A failing grade (F) results in no credit Failed required courses must be repeated until passed!

T ESTING R EQUIREMENTS In the spring of the 10 th grade year: 1. English College and Career Readiness Exam English 9 & 10 material. 2. Math College and Career Readiness Exam Algebra I and II material. Must pass 1 & 2 in order to earn diploma. 3. ISTEP+ 10 Science Assessment Biology I material Passing not required for earning a diploma.
