5 Skin Disease? In Hebrew it is called tzaraat. A red or white spot that would cover their entire body. They would go to the priest/cohen.

6 Unclean! The person had to leave the community Separate place away from their family and friends. Tear their clothes Cover their mouth Uncover their head Cry out “Unclean”

7 More Than a Skin Disease Effect clothing and houses as well. If it could not be removed: The clothing would be burned The house torn down. What is the real cause of Tzaraat?

8 Evil Speech Tzaraat is gossip or speaking about someone behind their back. This is called Lashon HaRa, which means the “Evil Tongue”. Bad speech Hurts the person Hurts the gossiper Hurts those who hear the evil speech.

9 Words Are Powerful Words are very powerful, God used words to create the universe. We also create a world by what we say. Words are the building blocks of our relationships

10 On his way to Jerusalem, Yeshua traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee. As he was going into a village, he met ten men who had leprosy.

11 Because they were considered to be unclean, they stood at a distance and called out in a loud voice, "Yeshua, Master, have pity on us!" When Yeshua saw them, he said, "Go, show yourselves to the cohen."

12 And as they went, they were cleansed.

13 One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. And he was a Samaritan. He threw himself at Yeshua‘s feet and thanked him.

14 And He said to him, Stand up and go; your faith has made you well Yeshua asked, Were not all ten cleansed? Was no one found who returned to give glory to God, except this foreigner?” Where are the other nine?

16 What Did We Learn Today? Tzaraat is not just skin diseases, but effects clothing and houses Tzaraat includes any Evil Speech Yeshua teaches us to have an attitude of gratitude
