Evolving CBRN Requirement The goal is to provide the Warfighter a revolutionary IPE solution that will: –Reduce thermal burden –Lighten the individual Warfighter’s load –Reduce the logistical burden for the unit –Be interoperable with communications and weapons systems –Be fully integrated into the combat uniform Need for low cost, durable, FR materials Need for closures –Improvements or alternatives to hook and loop, slide fasteners, zip lock seals (for example) –Consideration toward cost, weight, flexibility, ease of use
